Our Maidstone shop is looking for Upcycling volunteers to join the team. We are located on the Maidstone High street.

About us

Our Maidstone shop is looking for Upcycling volunteers to join the team. We are located on the Maidstone High street.

About you

We are looking for creative volunteers willing to use, or learn the skills needed to help repair, restore and upcycle old/broken furniture, or household items. You will get involved with things like, repairing, painting, and decoupage. You will work with a friendly team to create upcycled products ranging from shabby chic cabinets and tables to chalk painted wardrobes. You have a keen eye for detail, good common sense and able to follow safety guidance.

Use your creative skills to refurbish, repair, upcycle and improve donated items, giving them a new lease of life ready for sale. You will create individual bespoke items for us to sell, that were once destined for landfill supporting our “Green Agenda” and creating customer interest.

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?

Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for set days or as and when you are available.
