This is an inspiring opportunity for a proactive and strategic individual with experience in volunteer programme development to join our forward-thinking and compassionate organisation.

What's more, within our collaborative environment, you’ll have the chance to grow your professional expertise, and gain access to unique insights within the charity and healthcare sectors, enabling you to develop skills that advance your career.

**The Role**

As a Senior Volunteering Officer, you will drive the development of innovative volunteering approaches within the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, supporting volunteers based in community services.

Specifically, you will work with Trust staff and partner organisations to create impactful volunteering roles that improve patient experiences and address community health challenges.

You will design, launch, and evaluate volunteer roles that address health inequalities, focusing on system change and fostering a volunteer community reflective of the wider population. This includes engaging with underrepresented groups, particularly Core20plus5 communities, to create a more inclusive and diverse volunteering network.

Additionally, you will:

- Identify new locations and roles to enhance the Trust’s volunteering offer
- Build relationships with community partners to support the development of volunteering initiatives
- Ensure volunteers receive high-quality support and experiences within community sites

**About You**

To be considered as a Senior Volunteering Officer, you will need:

- Experience developing and managing volunteer programmes, ideally within the health or community sector
- A strong understanding of health inequalities and experience in addressing diversity and inclusion in volunteer recruitment and engagement
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
- The ability to design and evaluate innovative programmes that deliver tangible benefits

The closing date for this role is 8th of January 2025.

Other organisations may call this role Volunteer Manager, Volunteer Development Manager, Volunteer Development Officer, Senior Volunteer Engagement Officer, Volunteer Programme Lead, Senior Community Volunteering Officer, or Health Volunteer Manager.

Webrecruit and Imperial Health Charity are equal opportunities employers, value diversity, and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business, and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
