We currently provide expert advice to governments, agencies, companies and major infrastructure projects to help them reduce GHG emissions and adapt to the impacts of unavoidable future climate change. We carry out a wide range of bespoke planning, technical and environmental assessment projects - everything from air quality monitoring, climate change policy analysis, through to expert witness support in relation to aviation noise. We also provide technical support to clients in the private and public sectors, at local and national levels both in the UK and overseas.

Due to our growing portfolio of work we are seeking to add an energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Consultant/ Consultant to join our Air Quality & Climate Change team. They will take a lead role in the delivery and management of climate change projects, helping to grow our business in this area as well as to further build Temple’s market presence.

**The Role**:
Our Air Quality and Climate Change Team is headed by an experienced Director and comprises Principal, Senior, Consultant and Junior consultants. We are seeking an experienced Consultant /Senior Consultant to further strengthen the climate change capacity and expertise within the team. You will have the opportunity to help shape the future of our work in what is a fast moving, globally important and exciting topic area.

**The Duties**:

- Work with the Team's Director to provide project delivery of climate change assessments at a major project level
- Provide technical expertise in one or more of the following fields: climate change mitigation analysis, whole life carbon assessment, circular economy, low carbon technologies and energy efficiency, climate change vulnerability and adaptation, greenhouse gas emissions inventories/analysis/modelling, carbon models/tools,
- Produce technical report for clients, including writing, checking and review of deliverables.
- Develop client relationships and undertake bidding work including preparing, contributing to and reviewing bids/tenders.
- Communicate, liaise and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Help grow and develop the wider team
- A passion for the environment and delivering proven sustainability outcomes.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field with further degree or professional qualification advantageous.
- Specialism in one or more key climate change fields, and/or experience in consultancy for EIA or ESG.
- Experience of managing and taking responsibility for delivering successful projects of different sizes.
- Experience of preparing bids, including the development of methodology and presentations.
- Strong networking capability and a well-developed network of contacts.
- Confidence, excellent written and oral communication skills, energy and enthusiasm, and a creative approach to problem solving.
- Temple provides a wide range of training to its staff including in house workshops run by our experienced team; seminars and presentations from relevant industry professionals in a wide range of environmental, town planning and sustainability disciplines and external project management training. _

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
