**Laboratory Assistant / Science Technician, Term Time Only**

**The Role**

This is varied position and the successful Lab Assistant / Science Technician will work closely with the teaching staff, preparing equipment, providing practical assistance, and clearing away experiments.

With other responsibilities including ensuring that all equipment and supplies are routinely checked and readily available, ensuring materials are disposed of safely, and participating in the school’s development programme, this is a great opportunity fora Lab Assistant / Science Technician looking to use their scientific knowledge to help the younger generation.

**What’s required of the Laboratory Assistant / Science Technician**
- A recognised qualification at NVQ level 3 or the equivalent experience
- Previous experience working within laboratory environment and/or within a school
- Good understanding of the CLEAPS guidelines
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures/regulations, plus a first aid qualification would be a plus
- Motivated to work in a school environment
