**The Role**

As a Technical Assistant, reporting direct to the Area Manager you will:

- Provide technical assistance to Highway Operation teams
- Contribute to the delivery of effective highway works through tasks as assigned by the Area Manager and identified through target setting and monitoring, performance appraisal and development and training
- Management interrogation and co-ordination of complex databases and spread sheets
- Production of presentation quality maps, plans and technical drawings
- Contribute to the data collection to develop the revenue and capital scheme delivery
- Organising, preparation and implementation of permanent and temporary Traffic Regulation Orders as assigned

- Have strong analytical skills
- Be an excellent communicator
- Have good decision-making skills
- Be able to prioritise and organise their own workload as well as being able to work well within a busy team environment.
