**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily activities, implement care plans, and communicate effectively with both clients and healthcare professionals. A strong understanding of IT systems is beneficial for maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities to enhance their independence.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare team members to provide updates on care status.
- Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is preferred.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for travel between client locations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds are crucial.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
