Are you a Health and Social Care Graduate with an interest in developing your experience in working with students with additional needs?_
- Do you have relevant experience or an interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs or Speech and Language Difficulties?_
- Are you hoping to go on to become a Care Worker, Youth Worker, Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist or Social Worker in the future?_

I am currently working with a wide variety of schools who are looking for Support assistants with Autism Spectrum Condition, and SEMH experience. If you have personal or professional experience with ASC or SEMH then this could be the role for you.

**Requirements**:

- A patient and understanding approach.
- An interest in working with students with SEND and in particular SEMH and ASC.
- Be flexible in your approach.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND (desirable).

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist and support with the development and learning of students within the school, delivering interventions and education plans.
- Provide 1:1 and general support to students according to requirements for the day.
- Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained.
- Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behaviour policies.
- Communicate with other staff members and where appropriate, family.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
