HR and Payroll Coordinator

The HR Coordinator role plays a vital part in the HR team We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to deliver an effective people service to the business.

The role attracts an annual salary of up to £27,500 depending on experience. In addition, you will benefit from 23 days holiday per year plus 8 Bank Holidays, your birthday off and enhanced sick pay with service. We also have a range of other amazing benefits
The role is based in Manchester at our offices in the Northern Quarter, with the opportunity to work a few days from home once fully established in role and according to business needs.
**What will you do?**
- Ensuring that all people-related administration is accurate and up-to-date.
- Work with the HR Manager to ensure continuous improvement of existing people policies and processes.
- Ensuring that all stored data is accurate and up-to-date, and held in compliance with GDPR principles.
- Using technology to produce reports and drive efficiencies in how people and processes are managed
- Supporting our Learning Coordinator with our Welcome and Induction process.
- Responsible for all new starter activity and administrative documents
- Processing contract variations, maternity/paternity leave requests, leavers, benefits/payroll administration etc.
- Collating training and development needs following performance reviews to enable analysis of requirements to be carried out.
- Working with the HR Manager to deliver and monitor key performance indicators, such as turnover, starters, sickness absence, performance against objectives etc., for monthly reporting purposes.
- Conducting exit interviews with leavers and collate the data for analysis.
- Managing the monthly payroll process.
- Answer HR telephone line and HR inbox.
- Working with the Recruitment Advisor to support recruitment activity when required
**What are we looking for?**
Essential:
- Experience of working within a HR/ People team.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced administration role.
- Experience of working with an HR system or database.
- Basic understanding of HR/ People procedures.
- Experience supporting payroll
Desirable:
- Experience of developing brand new HR/ People processes and implementing them within a HR/ People team.
- Experience of using Survey Monkey.
- Flexible and proactive approach to workload.
- Positive and can do attitude.
- Confident in communicating at all levels.
- Focus and commitment to deliver plans and meet deadlines.
- Wherever possible, takes ownership of enquiries and sees things through to the end.
- Checks own work for quality and accuracy, and strives to exceed expectations.
- Calm under pressure.
- Seeks and puts forward new ideas to continuously improve the way we do things.
- Actively seeks responsibility and is keen to develop.
