We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in North Tyneside. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working with children and has a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.

**About the Role**

As an SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

- Provide tailored support to children with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support pupils in achieving their learning and developmental goals.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with both academic and emotional development through one-to-one and group activities.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each child.

**About You**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- A strong understanding of **safeguarding** and the ability to follow policies effectively.
- **Level 3 Safeguarding training** (or willingness to complete training provided by Humly).

In accordance with the safeguarding vulnerable groups’ regime [2006] & the relevant Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) DfE guidance, **any offer of employment made will be conditional upon the results of checks from the Disclosure & Barring Service** (“the DBS”) and Teacher Services (regarding teacher prohibition/disqualification from working with children and young people).

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
