**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students who require additional assistance.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Help supervise students during lunchtime, recess, and other non-instructional periods.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
