**Senior Logistics Supervisor**
Main purpose of the job
To manage the warehouse function on a day-to-day shift basis ensuring all resources are in place, trained and operating to the required standard, in order to meet the department KPI's and delivery targets.
Main missions and results
- Accountable for health and safety of employees across Mats Bay and Warehouses, ensuring Artifex procedures are followed, including incident reporting.
- Responsible for highlighting any health and safety issues across the plant
- Accountable for cross shift discussions with previous and oncoming shift, following plant standards.
- Audit all processes for compliance of standard operating procedures (SOP) for all tasks across mats bay and warehouses.
- Ensure appropriate levels of skilled resources are maintained across mats bay and warehouses.
- Management of setting weekly shift rotas with contingency plans as required.
- Accountable for ensuring new members within mats bay and warehouse are trained in the correct SOPs, practices and policies.
- Perform reviews across all members of the team in a set schedule to be agreed.
- Accountable for ensuring discipline is maintained across mats bay and warehouse.
- Perform first stage consultations/investigations as per company policies and procedures.
- Supervising the management of holidays / sickness / return to works as per company policy and procedures.
- Ensure KPIs are maintained as denoted by Warehouse Manager and MPL Manager.
- Perform to standard and dynamic risk assessments in order to support staff / business with health and safety compliance.
- Perform monthly safety audits as per company policy and procedures.
- Accountable for the management / results of stock take across mats bay and warehouse.
- Accountable for the adherence of 5S standards across mats bay and warehouse.
- Accountable for downtime incurred due to the lack of materials / packaging.
- Be involved in plant activities which contribute to the CI roadmap.
- Ensure quality standards are met i.e. ASRS compliance.
Preferred skills and experience
- ILM Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor or equivalent / willing to work towards. ILM Level 5 is desirable.
- Numerate and literate to minimum O Level / GCSE “C”
- FLT Licence Counterbalance/Reach (desirable)
- Knowledge of Goods In / FIFO / Stock Control and Material Handling
- Managing a team, dealing with appraisals, return to work interviews and KPI's.
- Experience of training/mentoring people and team building
- Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to complete 8D's (desirable)
- Experience working with WMS / RFGen system (desirable)
- Influencing and persuasive style with a “Can Do” attitude with propensity to problem solve.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks on shift.
- Process driven.
- Computer literate.
- Microsoft packages, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business, including interdepartmental and cross departmental.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, Kamishibai and Lean (desirable).
