Leading a team of 70 you'll have the autonomy to improve and develop our production facilitiesas you see fit. **BASIC SALARY**: Up to £55,000 **BENEFITS**: - 25 days holiday (incl factory shutdowns) plus bank holidays - Pension: 5% employee / 3% employer - Employee Assistance Programme - Free on-site parking **LOCATION**: East Peckham **COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS**: Tonbridge, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Gillingham, Sevenoaks, Crawley, Dartford, Oxted, Sittingbourne. **JOB SPECIFICATION**: Production Manager, Factory Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Shift Manager - Coatings / Polymers Reporting into the Managing Director and leading a sizeable team of production staff (circa 70), with the support of 2 Shift Supervisors and the Head of Engineering, you'll oversee the smooth operation of our 9 acre factory site. This Production Manager role will be a varied one with a strong commercial element. You'll be responsible for: - Ensuring orders are managed throughout the entire production process, delivering OTIF. - Reviewing and implementing Continuous Improvement procedures to constantly challenge and improve our manufacturing standards. - Liaising closely with key stakeholders, including; Group Operations Manager, Logistics Manager, Digital Manager and Design Studio Manager to future plan new product manufacturing capabilities. - Implement lean manufacturing initiatives to improve overall output, reduce wastage and cut lead times. - Advise on CAPEX investments to facilitate on ongoing performance growth. We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and a significant task will be to review and improve our product recycling programme. **REQUIREMENTS: **Production Manager, Factory Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Shift Manager - Coatings / Polymers You MUST have a proven track record as a Production Manager, Factory Manager or Manufacturing Manager and show how you have lead a large team (c70 people). In addition, you will: - Have excellent planning and organisational skills - Enjoy being visible on the shop floor - we're not looking for an "ivory tower" manager - Bring the gravitas to quickly gain the respect of a long-established team and positively affect the status quo - Be willing to take accountability for your work and support your team. **THE COMPANY**: We employ over 250 people across two geographically separate sites, our head office north of London and our manufacturing site in East Peckham.
