**Exciting New Opportunity**:
**Front of House / Catering Assistant**:
We are working with a Wakefield based charity who are looking for Front of House / Catering Assistant to work on their 2 new initiatives, a local cafe and a mobile catering hub, which can be hired for events.

**General Duties/Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing and serving hot and cold food, along with barista style drinks
- Handling cash, and working the till
- Up/cross selling and value add services to suit customer needs and maximise profits.
- Adaptive to customer and situations presented to you
- Deliver excellent catering in accordance with the Hygiene standards
- Explore and develop catering opportunities to provide income generation
- Ensure that all hygiene and food safety standards are met
- Develop and deliver food excellence that will attract and retain customers
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are practiced in all catering areas at all times
- Support and work alongside volunteers
- Work collaboratively and creatively with the Hospice catering team to maximise opportunities
- Develop the brand
- To provide a safe environment that protects all staff, volunteers and the public
- To comply with all Health and Safety regulations as per Policies
- Being responsible for completing monthly risk assessments and specific risk assessments
- Meet licensing requirements
- Ensure hygiene standards at all times and H&S including fire regulations

**About You**:

- City Guilds 7061 / 7062 Catering and Hospitality
- NVQ 2 Catering and Hospitality
- Level 2 food Hygiene
- Level 2 HACCP
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to form good working relationships with other managers, staff at all levels and volunteers
- Barista experience
- Good communication skills including excellent customer service
- Ability to think strategically and plan effectively
- Understanding of care Quality commission guidance in relation to food being offered and associated service
- Self-motivated and ability to motivate others
- Good understanding of current food legislation and be able to translate this, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
- Good interpersonal skills and a positive commitment to the service being provided
- Solution focused sales approach and resilient to deal with challenges.
- A flexible attitude and approach
- A commitment to delivering excellence consistently
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Familiar with local area and social, economic factors affecting the business
