We are a small business based in the heart of Nottingham looking for a new sewing assistant to join our team. This would suit someone looking for flexible part time work that enjoys sewing as a hobby or has worked in a commercial environment before.

**Responsibilities**

Working at Ditsy Pet the main focus will be to machine stitch fabric products from cut pieces either on a domestic or industrial sewing machine. As you will be working within a small team you will often be required to cut fabric pieces from pattern templates, interface, sew & finish an item. There are also opportunities to ‘get involved’ with other areas of the business for example helping develop new products, preparing finished samples, sublimation & vinyl cutting etc

You will receive full training on the production of the range but **you must have experience using sewing machines**. Most importantly you will be willing to learn, to concentrate for long periods on repetitive tasks and keen to carry out work other to sewing (ie, cutting/pressing)

**Essential Skills**:

- Good sewing skills using a domestic or Industrial machine**
- Ability to work quickly and accurately to a high standard, paying attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Ability to concentrate for long periods on repetitive tasks
- A good communicator
- Must be organised, reliable & self-motivated

**Location - **Ditsy Pet studio, Hockley, Nottingham

**Hours **- Flexible part-time hours available. Minimum 8hrs per week (Extra hours often available during holidays & busy periods etc) To be worked between the hours of 10am -5pm Monday - Friday

**Wage** - Paid per hour dependent on experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 8 - 16 per week

**Salary**: £8.39-£11.68 per hour
