Role: Product Technologist (Textiles)

Location: North Manchester / Lancashire

**Salary**: £28-37k depending on experience

We are currently partnering an exciting business who are on the lookout for a Product Technologist. Ideally within the home têxtiles industry.

You will be working alongside colleagues from the design, sales and QC departments and collaborating with overseas staff, suppliers, and UK customers on technical matters. The role will require technical input on product development and production acrossall areas of têxtile home furnishings, with a particular emphasis on bedding, cushions, and curtains. A good knowledge of fabric production, product manufacturing and performance parameters is required. Experience of testing protocols and standards is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Creating product specs.
- Setting and maintaining colour, material and seal standards with customers and suppliers.
- Risk analysis and technical support allocation to the products in your care each season and working with the overseas teams to deliver the support.
- Assessing and sealing products, checking fabrication, make-up, fit, quality, and packaging.
- Ensuring and raising standards to comply with or exceed customer requirements.
- Liaising with the UK QC team to identify stock to check.
- Creative problem solving in a timely manner & implementing improvement plans where necessary.
- Liaising with UK customers and attending development and production meetings with them as required.
- Setting and maintaining technical files, standard swatches, and lab dips both internally and for the customers.
- Occasional overseas travel.
