We know that studying at college and university isn’t for everyone. An apprenticeship offers you a great opportunity to gain a qualification whilst earning a wage and without accumulating the debts associated with study. Real work experience is crucial as you start to build your career and by the end of your apprenticeship you will have experience of working in a professional and nurturing environment where you will be given the tools and support you need to succeed.

**Duties to include**:

- Patient consultations
- Dispensing medicine
- General admin
- Dealing with over the counter and phone enquiries
- Use of the computer and the pharmacy specific software
- Checking off and unpacking orders
- Stock management
- Date checking of stock
- Processing NHS prescriptions

- Good communication skills
- Good customer service skills and organisation skills are necessary as there are many interactions during the normal working day with other staff members, patients, and healthcare professionals

**Future prospects**

Full-time permanent role for the right person. Further potential for other training such as a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.

**Training to be provided**

Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship standard, which includes:

- Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- GPHC Approved Qualification.
- In-house training
- A LOT of support from colleagues and tutor

**Things to consider**

All training is delivered remotely by Woodspeen Training to the workplace via Teams. There is no travelling involved for training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From £4.81 per hour

- Day shift
- Weekend availability
