**Yard Operations Supervisor**

**Halesowen**

**Salary up to £25k (Depending on experience)**

A brand-new permanent opportunity to join this growing company, you will have experience in a similar position and be a real team player that enjoys a varied role. You will have excellent supervisory skills, building great relationships as you mentor and ensure all the daily objectives are achieved.
This will suit someone that has worked in a builders' yard or similar and it does involve a lot of outdoor work, all applicants must be comfortable with working outside in all weathers

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the Operations manager with day-to-day management of operations in the yard- Motivate and direct the yard team in day-to-day duties- Help in generating job lists and ensuring that the jobs are actioned by in priority by the yard team- Be a point of contact for the sales office- Making sure that customer orders are correctly picked and loaded- Making sure that part packs are picked correctly and ready within the agreed time frame- Making sure that vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and efficient manner, this will be customer and supplier vehicles. Including incoming containers.- Ensuring that the yard is kept clean, tidy and safe in accordance to the standards set- Opening and closing of the yard, fitting in with the opening rota- Keeping essential supplies at the correct levels - diesel, shrink wrap, banding etc.- Basic yard maintenance when required- Ensuring that the forklifts are kept well maintained and in good working order- Ensuring that all documentation for forklifts and yard walks are kept and filed in as required- Ensuring that yard procedures are followed in all areas- Work with the operations manager to ensure that health and safety standards are complied with in the yard, ensuring that important documentation is completed and kept up to date, reporting any potential risks. Important documentation will include forklift checks and yard checks.- Work alongside the operations manager on adhoc projects- Marrying up paperwork - dispatch notes and deliveries- Assist in the office and on customer display visits as and when required**About you**:

- You will have a forklift licence and experience in a similar role**Working Hours: 08.30 to 17.00 pm**
