**About the Role**
As a Event Supervisor, you will be the onsite representative of Newhall Estate, stepping in for the Events Manager during evening events. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that our events run seamlessly and that the venue is presentable and secure after all non-residential guests and staff have departed.
This role is offered on a zero-hour contract or freelance basis. Shifts are determined by event bookings, with most taking place on weekends from March to November. A typical shift runs from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Saturdays, with occasional opportunities for additional midweek and daytime hours.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Liaise with third-party contractors and partners such as caterers, florists, bands, AV suppliers, and fireworks providers.
- Supervise the removal of conference/wedding ceremony chairs.
- Oversee tidying of event spaces after caterers have cleared tables and chairs, ensuring the venue is presentable for the next morning.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure toilets are tidy and well-stocked.
- Put away in-house event equipment, including lights, signs, and umbrellas.
- Stay onsite until all non-residential guests, staff, and external partners have safely left the premises.
- Assist the Events Manager as needed to deliver exceptional events.
**Requirements**:
- **Own transport is essential** as there is no public transport near Newhall Estate.
- Availability to work sporadic shifts, primarily on weekends, with a minimum of one shift per week during busy periods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in hotel or guest services environments is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a knack for building relationships with clients and vendors alike.
**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract
Pay: £15.00 per hour
