**Overview**
**What you'll do as Vice President Sales**
Drive the execution and growth of our sales for a portfolio of both existing and new products.
Reporting to the UK Marketing and Sales Director and working on daily basis for the line of business Senior VP, you will be responsible for leading a sales team to identify and develop opportunities domestically and internationally in line with the company strategy and strategic market sectors in order to achieve the revenue growth targets set.
As part of the site leadership team it is essential that you contribute to the overall line of business strategy by liaising and collaborating across the business, as it is with the Regional Marketing & Sales teams who will work alongside the central function.
- Leadership and continuous development of a UK based sales team responsible for the winning of UK and international business, generating significant revenue through collaboration, capability development and the export market.
- Successfully winning business through systematic analysis of customer needs, assessment of the competitive scenario, development of a winning strategy and effective communication of the company’s value proposition.
- Contribution to the creation of a detailed budget for the coming year and for longer term outlook, managing and reporting of progress to plan including justification for any business investment proposals.
- Responsible for specific high-level customer engagements and the co-ordination of customer stakeholder management.
- Focus on emerging markets and future business including exploring market intelligence on product and market arena.
- Provision of expertise in sales, business development and bid management to the business.
- Providing market expertise and intelligence to the Chief Technical Officer function to influence the development of the product portfolio.
- Exploit and deliver the product portfolio to generate increased opportunity in the Merchant Supply Business
**What we'll need from you**
- Proven international sales capability within the defence sector
- An understanding of our capabilities and equipment from an end user perspective
- Demonstrable individual and team leadership success in winning complex competitive bids.
- Strong leadership competence and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with customers and stakeholders.
- Able to operate and influence at the Executive level within the Company and Customer organisations.
- Able to specify and objectively analyse market information; and extract key trends and conclusions.
- Ownership and accountability for the Sales strategy in line of business and overall alignment with the wider business strategy.
