£30,000 to £45000 dependent on experience

I am currently working with a well known steel fabricators who are based in Gravesend who are looking to recruit a buyer to join their busy organisation.

Responsibilities include:
x Obtaining project costings from Estimating.

x Verify specifications with regard to material grade, paint & weld specification & ancillary products such as Cold rolled Purlins or floor Decking.

x Compile material lists from working drawings & report any discrepancies.

x Liaise with Project Manager/Estimating/Commercial Director to ensure that project runs on

budget.

x Keep consumables & paint well stocked.

x Maintain material stock system.

x Procure materials with consideration to minimum waste & co-ordinate deliveries to

Fabrication shop &/or site.

x Correlate delivery notes with Purchase orders & advise any discrepancies.

x Arrange for Holding down bolts to be supplied to site (where applicable).

x Order fixings for the project, together with any other necessary sundries.

x Prepare & analyse cost evaluation on database Spreadsheet.
