Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for a finance manager to be a part of a well-established privately owned medical manufacturing company based in the Wirral. The company has seen double digit growth in sales revenue since 2020 and has recentlysecured a significant further long-term contract with a major branded player. Along with further commercial opportunities within the existing customer base the business should see continued double digit growth in the coming years.
Due to the significant growth the company is now looking for a Finance manager to be part of a senior management team contribute to the strategy and key decisions to drive the business forward.
Key responsibilities include
- Management of the Finance, IT and Purchasing department.
- Ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions
- Maintain the integrity of the Company balance sheet
- Timely preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Manage the submission of monthly and quarterly VAT detail to Customs & Excise and other regulatory reports (e.g., for ONS)
- Manage the preparation of monthly and quarterly cash forecasts.
- Monitor, update and audit the company costing system as required to ensure it captures current overhead costs.
- Produce the tied oils, packaging waste and plastic tax returns.
- Provision of detailed analysis and insight on monthly commercial and operations performance to the senior management team
- Enforcing internal controls in order to protect the assets of the Company.
- Preparation of the annual budget
- Manage payments to all the company's creditors and maintain appropriate checks and records.
- Ensure working capital is managed effectively to provide required cash flow for the business.
- To manage the effective purchasing
- To manage all the Insurance requirements for the business.
- To liaise with the local council and government bodies to support site activities and developments.
Profile
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA Qualified
- Five years plus post qualification experience
- Analytical with attention to detail
- Clear communicator
- Dealing with ambiguity
- Business acumen and strategic thinking
