This is a 18 bedded residential care home for the elderly. We are looking for a friendly & bubbly person to join our team.

You will need to live fairly local to Burnham on sea. If outside of Burnham on sea you will need to be a car driver or live on a bus route, but taking into account public transport is not reliable. So you will need to be sure you can get into work for the set times.

Night shifts are wake nights, starting at 8pm to 8am (12hr shifts). This vacancy is for two nights a week including every other weekend. There is overtime to pick up shifts covering holiday or sickness. The person will need to be very flexible as these will not be set nights. Training is essential some are completed in-house and there are courses to be completed on-line which is paid for by the home.

The night consists of assisting residents to have supper before assisting them to go to bed at a time they request. Assisting residents to have a wash or shower of choice.

Regular checks throughout the night on all residents. To offer drinks throughout the night if they wish to have them or something to eat if they feel unsettled.

There is some housekeeping duties i.e. to keep laundry up together. Ironing of bedding and some cleaning of communial areas.

DBS and references will need to be completed before work is commenced.
