Safeguarding is integral to governance arrangements within LSCFT and we are looking for someone with leadership experience and of providing high standards of care to the most vulnerable children and adults in our society. The successful applicant must demonstrate a passion for safeguarding children, adults and their families and share the teams commitment to deliver services that are reliable, of high quality and safe in an area of work that is demanding, challenging yet extremely rewarding.

We have an opportunity for a full-time Safeguarding Practitioner in the Central Lancashire locality to assist the Specialist Safeguarding Practitioners and Named Nurses/ Professional within the LSCFT Safeguarding Team to provide clinical expertise in the delivery of the safeguarding agenda to all LSCFT staff. The post holder will also provide safeguarding expertise to support referrals to the Local Authority Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) although the post will be based at Leyland House.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
