**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct venue tours to introduce potential customers to all of the key spaces of the site and selling points of hosting their event with us, in a warm and friendly manner.
- Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of events from initial consultation to on-the-day coordination.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and create customized event plans.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and staff to organise catering, décor, entertainment, and other event requirements.
- Oversee set-up, manage timelines, and ensure every event runs smoothly on the day.
- Coordinate with the in-house team to maintain the highest standards of food and drink service and presentation at all times.
- Manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Host follow up event consultations to confirm all details.
- Stay updated on trends in the event industry to ensure innovative and engaging event experiences.
**Key Requirements**:
- Proven experience in event planning, preferably within a venue setting.
- Experience in managing event staff, to ensure the efficient delegation of tasks
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and problem-solve on the go.
- Creative flair and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Knowledge of Cambridge and local suppliers is a plus.
