We are looking to recruit an applied psychologist or qualified therapist with training and experience in CBT and/or DBT. You will be based in Southampton and will work with patients referred by the three Community Mental Health Teams in the city. You will join a supportive and friendly therapies team with a wealth of clinical expertise including CBT, DBT, CAT, ACT, EMDR and psychodynamic approaches. We have good supervision structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as strong links with the University of Southampton and the University of Plymouth.

In this role, you will contribute to the provision of DBT, as well as holding a more mixed therapy caseload which will help you consolidate your clinical skills. If you are not already trained in DBT, there will be the opportunity to train and pursue accreditation. You will form part of a cohesive DBT consult group. There will be the opportunity to co-facilitate a Family Connections group for relatives and carers. As you develop in the role, you will offer supervision, consultation and training to staff working in the community mental health teams.

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with a group of people who are often stigmatised and excluded. You will be well-supported to develop your skills in assessment, therapy and consultation. You will have the opportunity to develop your supervisory skills and take on the supervision of at least one trainee therapist.
