Ladybird Nursery is looking for a Room Leader who shares our passion and vision to provide the very best care for all our children giving them the best possible start by providing a varied and stimulating environment and opportunities that encourage children to learn through play.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Managing and maintaining a safe learning environment for children to learn organically through their interests and play
- Leading a room and supporting staff to delver the best quality of care
- Be responsible for the room and meet targets outlined by your manager
- Foster positive relationships with your team, children and families
- Communicate effectively to families on children’s development through documentation and learning stories
- Ensure all staff understand safeguarding and health and safety policies relevant to their role and implement procedures effectively

**Requirements or Skills**:

- A Level 3 full and relevant qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent
- A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Experience managing a room in a nursery environment
- Experience of safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures within a nursery environment
- The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS

**Salary and Benefits**

£27,000 to £28,000 for a full time position working a flexible 4 days per week, dependent on qualification and experience. There is also the option of working 5 days per week.
