**JOB OVERVIEW**
To assist with maintaining relationships with vendors and negotiating prices and delivery deadlines. To be responsible for buying products within remit, creating purchase orders and keeping up to date with industry trends.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist with the placement of replenishment orders, including creating weekly ordering spreadsheet, placing supplier orders, checking pro forma invoice costs & quantities, and following through to goods received working with the QC department to ensure all products are up to agreed specification
- Create purchase orders on the ERP system and manage and update with expected supplier delivery dates
- Follow up with suppliers on outstanding POs
- Assist in searching supply base to source out-of-stock products where necessary
- Feedback to retail and online regarding out-of-stock products and estimated delivery times
- Maintain system minimum stock quantity amounts
- Assist with the supplier returns process
- Product file maintenance, setting up new products and updating changes on existing products
- Interact with suppliers and warehouse on returns and stock purchasing-related issues
- Assist with maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and establishing relationships and opportunities with new suppliers to meet the objectives of the Group’s procurement strategy
- Assisting in sourcing new suppliers for manufacturing spend where required on all raw materials and consumables (packaging, bottles, liquids, plastics and labels)
- Working closely with other commercial sectors within the Company, sourcing new products as required, monitoring price fluctuations and pricing
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure min and max levels are kept at an optimum level
- Assist with general team report running and ad hoc analysis as required
- Provide departmental and wider organisational forecasts, where procurement has an impact
- Support the aims and ethos of Flavour Warehouse, setting a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality and attendance
- Promote and ensure the good reputation of Flavour Warehouse and its individual divisions
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
- Collaborate with the Head of Procurement to devise a Category Strategy
- Work in partnership with the team to improve and implement Procurement Strategy
- Undertake any other tasks which can be reasonably expected in relation to the role

PERSON SPECIFICATION*
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous procurement experience within the FMCG/Manufacturing/Retail industries is desirable
- Detailed knowledge of EU and UK procurement legislation, supplier and contract management beneficial
- CIPS qualified or studying preferred
- Expert user of Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and V lookups
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Good Business acumen
- A good problem solver, with a positive can-do attitude
- Able to work cross-functionally
- Good organisation and presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem solving
- Able to work effectively under pressure
