**Compliance Co-ordinator Fire Safety**

Here at ClwydAlyn, we are looking to recruit a Compliance Co-ordinator to join the
Compliance and Building Safety team in North Wales. You will be responsible for supporting
all other aspects of the company, managing a significant budget, and representing Value for
Money to ensure ClwydAlyn is fully compliant.

**Who are we looking for?**
- To assist the Compliance and Building Safety team to achieve a Safe Homes standard

including achieving all legal compliance, specifically in respect to Fire Safety and to
support the Lead Compliance Officer (Fire Safety) in ensuring ClwydAlyn Homes are
safe to live in.
- To undertake suitable and sufficient Low to medium-Level Fire Risk Assessments in

accordance with templates and fire regulations
- To undertake periodic inspections of ClwydAlyn buildings in relation to proficient fire

safety including the full management and completion of Fire Risk Assessments in
accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety
Act 2021.
- To take ownership and responsibility of carrying out routine testing of communal fire

alarms, fire detection systems, firefighting equipment, and emergency lighting systems
to ClwydAlyn properties in accordance with current British Standards.
- To undertake thorough inspections of fire door sets on a quarterly or annual inspection

programme in line with current fire door regulations and documenting your findings to
assist the Lead Compliance Officer (Fire Safety)
- To undertake thorough inspections of communal areas and review the building

compartmentation to determine that the building remains fire safe for our residents.

**Skills and Qualifications required for the role**:

- Relevant experience
- The Level 3 Certificate in Fire Safety (Fire Auditors) qualification or able to work

towards and be qualified within 12 months of employment.
- Experience of Fire alarm & Emergency light Testing in accordance with BS 5839, or

subsequent revision or amendment, a good understanding of the Regulatory Reform
Order 2005 and the Fire Safety Act 2021 with an understanding of Fire Door testing or
surveying to BS EN 1634-1Completion of and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments
- CPD at 35 hours per annum minimum.

**This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check which we**
**pay for.**
