The Nursing & Midwifery team provide professional leadership and oversight to a range of programmes and have responsibility for delivering the Nurse Expansion Programme as set out in the HEE Mandate and NHS People Plan. this post holder will work flexibly across programmes according to need however will initially support the Regional Head of Nursing in the utilisation of all practice learning environments and take an innovative approach to developing further practice learning placements.

The South East Regional team are looking for an enthusiastic motivated and experienced individual who will lead on the practice learning supporting and enabling care providers across Systems to develop the future workforce. They will have contemporary knowledge of clinical education and workforce issues, and detailed understanding of the new curricula supporting nursing, midwifery an the allied health professionals education agenda. This a highly analytical individual with a commitment to strong partnership working, engagement and consultation with all stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take lead responsibility for a geographical area across the HEE south east region will be essential to support the day to day business requirements for HEE. The role covers a range of duties including performance, project management and reporting support, presenting insightful information to help our executive directors, senior managers and key stakeholders make informed business decisions, liaising with appropriate teams across HEE as required.

Relationship building will be an important element of this role and the post holder will be required to develop, implement, and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders across HEE.

Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8b with a full-time starting salary of £54,764, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.
