**Summary**:
The Building Remediation and Grenfell Directorate within the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) is leading the response to the Grenfell Tower fire and the remediation of unsafe cladding in high-rise residential buildings.

The Grenfell Site and Programme (GS&P) is an established programme within DLUHC and seeks to deliver the vision of the independent Grenfell Tower Memorial Commission for a fitting memorial for the bereaved, survivors and Grenfell community, recognising the fire tragedy and honouring those who lost their lives.

The Building Remediation programme aims to accelerate the remediation of residential buildings over 18m through unblocking financial constraints to projects, so that residents in high-rise residential buildings feel, and are safe, from the fire risks that unsafe cladding poses.

**Job description**:
There are two posts available - one post in the Grenfell Site & Programme, and one post in the Building Remediation programme. The post holder will be responsible for developing and managing their respective programme’s detailed end-to end programme plan. They will work with multi-disciplined teams to define planning activities, identify dependencies and assumptions to ensure delivery plans are realistic and achievable and conduct scenario planning activities as required.

Both programmes are part of the Government Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP) and are sensitive and high-profile, with interest from Ministers, No10, the Infrastructure and Projects Authority and senior officials across government.

The post holder will manage the change control process for all plans and have responsibility for reporting progress against the plans, producing weekly and monthly reports to support programme governance, including to the Infrastructure and Projects Authority and the Prime Minister’s Implementation Unit. Responsibility for this reporting will also include providing early warning of potential issues and conflicts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the programme plan in Microsoft Project
- Understand programme dependencies and support the identification of risks and issues
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders and communicate data and information clearly, including leading engagement with programme teams on progress against their workstreams and projects
- Report on progress against the plans
- Conduct scenario planning workshops when appropriate
- Have the opportunity to further develop project delivery skills through learning and development opportunities
- Support capability building of project and programme management skills within the directorate
- Have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of corporate initiatives within the directorate, including diversity and inclusion and learning and development

Essential criteria:

- Experience working as a programme or project planner, or experience working within a project team with a good knowledge of project planning
- Experience of using Microsoft Project within project or programme environments
- Excellent excel and powerpoint skills
- Ability to network and build relationships across the programme
