**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
The Stores Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Stores Supervisor at Krempel with everyday despatch and incoming goods activities. This includes general tasks such as booking goods in, despatching of goods, issuing material to works orders/shop floor, checking material at goods in, loading vehicles, picking stock, putting stock away and transferring stock to different locations.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Issuing material to production works orders
- Picking stock
- Checking raw materials at goods in
- Checking expensed items at goods in
- Distribution of goods once booked in
- Despatching of product to our customer base
- Using the company’s main computer operating system
- Transferring of stock to different locations/warehouse
- Transfer of consignment stock product to the correct warehouse
- Stock take duties ranging from counting and checking
- Issuing of bulk material to warehouses on the shop floor
- Loading and off-loading vehicles
- Packing goods to customer specifications including taking pictures
- Putting stock away into correct locations once checked
- Operation of the TNT/UPS/DHL system
- Willingness to drive the forklift
- In addition to the above functions, employees are required to carry out such duties as may be reasonably required.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Being able to work as a team.
- Able to take responsibility and make decisions.
- Good telephone skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Fork lift licence desirable however training can be given should it be required
**ORGANISATIONAL RELATIONSHIP / SCOPE**:
The Stores Assistant will be available to and interactive with, all areas and departments on site. This position is a support and service role and therefore a diplomatic, firm, and helpful attitude should be adopted at all times.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
The majority of duties performed by the Stores Assistant will take place in normal office conditions; however, occasionally there may be a requirement to work outside of these hours. Appropriate Health and Safety training will be provided for the position and care should be always taken to observe any Health and Safety guidelines or rules.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bideford, EX39 3EX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
