**Purpose**:
To provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all customers receive a timely response to all enquiries, in a professional manner and in keeping with Chelsom’s corporate image. To direct these enquiries to the right source and where appropriate, actually dealing with these enquiries. To provide sales, administrative support to the internal and external Sales Team, in particular the Head of Customer Services.

**Duties & Tasks**:

- Answer the telephone in a professional manner, ensuring that any information provided on prices, product availability, despatch dates, telephone numbers, names etc. are accurate.
- Keep an accurate record of these messages should we need to refer to them. Distribute messages and support the Sales / Project Coordinator to understand these.
- Liaise with departments and colleagues at all levels throughout the company to obtain the information required to assist / answer enquiries.
- Follow up quotations submitted to support customers and maximise chances of securing orders.
- Prepare and process sales orders.
- Support the Sales and Project Coordinators in raising invoices and other administrative tasks.
- Completing pre-qualification questionnaires and other similar customer documentation
- Management of the enquiry mailbox on a daily basis.
- Arrange collections of product or samples and support in arranging the return of defective products from customers.
- Provide general administrative support as necessary to assist the Commercial Director, Head of Customer Services, and other Sales Team members.
- Any other reasonable tasks as required to meet the Company’s needs.

**Essential Requirements**
- GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C or above
- An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Processing of sales orders.
- Preparation and follow-up of quotations.
- Customer aftercare
- Highly Organised
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills written and verbal

**Desirable**
- Project Management
- Experience of Integrated business software systems for manufacturing
- Export and Export Documentation
- Experience of contract market and/or manufacturing environment
