**Head of Sales and Marketing - Medical Devices**

**Salary: Excellent + Car + Bonus + Benefits**

**Location: This is a field-based role.**

**The Client is located on the Hertfordshire/Essex border.**

Leading, established medical device design and manufacturer requires a Head of Sales and Marketing to ensure that budgeted sales are achieved through good management and the implementation and execution of sales and marketing strategies to ensure that theyearly sales turnover and EBIT targets are achieved.

**Key Tasks**:

- Oversee the development and implementation of an integrated range of marketing concepts and methodologies; plans and construct marketing and sales strategies consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the business, set measurables and manage deliverables.
- To oversee the daily operations of the Department.
- Directs, oversees, monitors and evaluates the activities of the sales staff including monitoring distributors.
- Provides market research and analysis.
- Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
- Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
- Develops and manages annual sales budgets and continually monitors performance to budget parameters.
- Assumes overall responsibility for all publicity, advertising, direct mail, catalogues, exhibits, awards, author communications, title sub-right activities and website management for the enterprise. Has the authority through agreed objectives to implementapproved strategies.
- Directs customer sales in key areas; promotes and maintains customer relations with major accounts internationally.
- Participates in the development and implementation of objectives for the short, medium and long-range planning, develop and implement projects and programmes to assist in accomplishment of agreed goals.
- Control of departmental finances, ontime and in full reporting
- Liaises with other Management Team members to ensure that agreed goals are achieved.
- Presents at the monthly Management Board Meeting, results and strategies.
- Communicate to the MD of any issues, which have a material direct and indirect to the sales and financial wellbeing of the Company.
