Charity People are delighted to be partnering with The National Youth Orchestra (NYO) to recruit an Individual Giving Manager.
NYO's vision is to see the potential of every teenage musician in the UK unlocked through the power of orchestral music. They work alongside teenage musicians to open up orchestral music and share it with their generation, to level the playing field for thosewho may not have the opportunity that others have, and to harness their skills, innovations and determination to help them soar.
There is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Individual Giving fundraiser to join their ambitious and growing Development Team, a team of eight who raise over £2m every year.
You do not need to be musical for this role, but have a passion for helping all young people to fulfil their potential, and being able to deliver this through fundraising. We are looking for someone who will help make the Charity's Individual Giving fundraisinggrow, who has ideas and a willingness to try them out, who can work collaboratively and guide projects forward to keep on schedule, while negotiating the time and input of others. Not only will you have an understanding of and be confident in the theory andpractice of direct marketing, but you will also have solid experience of managing campaigns and appeals across different direct marketing channels. You will have a passion for understanding what drives our donors, and will champion the importance of stewardshipand building great relationships.
You would be joining a friendly and dynamic staff team who are passionate about music and young people. The National Youth Orchestra are entering into an exciting new phase of their strategy that really looks to open up music, through education and support,to all teenage musicians who have their eyes and hearts set on orchestral performance, regardless of their family situation, where they live, or what school they go to. They are providing more and more opportunities for state school musicians, and those whoattend education settings that simply do not have the funds to support music, giving them the opportunities that stretched education budgets cannot deliver for them.
The role is based at NYO's spacious and light offices near Holborn in Central London (with some remote working by agreement) and there will be opportunities to attend NYO's UK-wide concerts and activities. NYO offers a season ticket loan scheme, cycle-to-workscheme, health cash plan and 24/7 counselling and support helpline.
