An extremely successful multinational game and app developer is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to bolster their growth. This Principal Software Engineer will shadow the existing team, then build and manage their own team to replicate the process withtheir own personal take on the project. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with an interesting tech stack, building models for pre-existent company AI to work on. This role comes with a massive amount of data to work with, great progressionopportunities, and the ability to thrive within an already very successful company.

**THE COMPANY**:
**THE ROLE**:
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

- Design, development, and upkeep of required backend software using Java
- Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the Software Engineering life cycle
- Cloud Migration
- Dealing with vast amounts of data and Big Data
- Building and managing your own team from scratch
- Mentoring junior Software Engineers, enhancing their development
- Managing the entire software development process whilst being hands-on

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
A successful Principal Software Engineer for this role will have:

- Significant commercial experience as a Java Backend Software Engineer
- Commercial experience working with GCP and cloud technologies
- Significant commercial experience with Kafka
- Mentoring experience
- Hands-on Programming and management
- Experience with real-time data streaming and Big Data or large volumes of data
- Experience in a fast pace working environment
- Experience working within a tech firm, a gaming company, or experience working with growth

**THE BENEFITS**:
The salary range for this role is £100,000 - £108,000 alongside pension contributions, a yearly bonus, and is hybrid
