As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall presentation of our 72 bedroom hotel. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position involves effective communication with housekeeping staff, maintenance personnel, and other relevant departments.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Room Allocation**:

- Assign rooms and specific cleaning duties to housekeeping staff according to the established schedule.
- Ensure that all assigned rooms are cleaned within the designated timeframes.
- **Communication**:

- Regularly communicate with housekeeping staff to convey rota information, updates, and any specific cleaning requirements.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by addressing concerns and providing constructive feedback.
- **Linen Management**:

- Monitor and manage linen inventory to ensure an adequate supply for daily operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of fresh linens and manage the return of used linens.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned bedrooms to ensure they meet the established cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Address any deficiencies and provide guidance to housekeeping staff for improvement.
- **Maintenance Collaboration**:

- Liaise with the maintenance department to report and address any issues related to the cleanliness and functionality of rooms.
- Prioritize and coordinate repairs or maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions to guest services.
- **Hands-On Cleaning**:

- Assist housekeeping staff in cleaning bedrooms and common areas as needed, especially during peak times or staff shortages.
- **Scheduling**:

- Develop and maintain staff rota, ensuring adequate coverage during all shifts.
- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in staffing levels or business requirements.
- **Training and Development**:

- Provide training to new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Identify opportunities for skill development and provide ongoing training as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and quality control standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work additional hours if required.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
