Trade Counter Sales Assistant

**Jewson,**a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a **Trade Counter Sales Assistant**to join the team in our **Spennymoor**branch who's as passionate about great service as we are.

- **Hours**_: 7.30am-5pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8-12_
- **Location**_: Jewson, Merrington Lane Industrial Estate, Front St, Spennymoor DL16 7RZ_
- **Key Responsibilities**_

In this role you'll be the first point of contact for customers in the branch - you'll be responsible for serving customers at the trade counter, processing orders and answering customer queries in branch and over the phone. This is a key role in the whole branch operation.
- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions
- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, both face to face and over the phone
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy, launch new promotions and maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
- Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work

- **Required Skills and Experience**_
- Previous industry experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
- Experience in a busy customer facing role with strong communication skills
- IT literate
- A positive and flexible attitude
- **A driving license and own vehicle would be beneficial for this role due to the branch location**
