We are looking for a part time dog walker to work 18 hours per week over 3 days. Availability would be between 10 and 4, with overtime being occasionally available for weekends and evenings. If desired, this position has the scope to expand to more hours and days as you are developed, however this would purely be if it suited you to do so.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with experience of dog ownership and a love for the outdoors. Previous professional dog care experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
The applicant must have a valid drivers licence and have access to a vehicle in which dogs could be transported (equipment for dog's safety supplied).
The applicant must have experience of dog walking and ownership, with any relevant qualifications (such as first aid or animal care) being highly desirable, however first aid training culminating in a qualification will be provided to successful applicants if necessary. We will also conduct a DBS check to ensure the security and safety of our customers.
You will be conducting the walks in public areas throughout North Tyneside, and although we will introduce you to the area, you will be responsible for selecting where your walks will be conducted and maintain the safety of all the dogs under your care.
The responsibilities included in this role are collection of dogs from multiple locations, conducting of engaging group walks of up to 5 dogs at a time, cleaning and drying of dogs before returning home, and ensuring the security of the property upon leaving.

Confident working with dogs of all breeds and sizes
Love for the outdoors in all weathers and seasons
Positive interactions with dogs
Ability to accept last minute changes to a plan and to adapt to the new situation
Calmness and ability to problem solve
Good communication with dogs owners

Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £9.75 per hour
