Working for a City of Londo based Accounting practice we have 2 positions due to growth for Personal Tax Seniors.

Reporting to the tax manager/supervisor and partners.
- Assisting the manager/supervisor of the Tax Department in the overall smooth running of the department.
- Managing the tax compliance of personal and corporate clients.
- Liaising directly with clients regarding personal tax matters/queries on the phone and in person *
- Assisting the Personal Tax Manager in overseeing a number of graduate-level personal tax staff
- Liaising with the Tax Manager to ensure that work is completed within budget and within HMRC tax deadlines adhering to the Firm's quality standards.
- Preparing and submitting tax returns of clients which may include Capital Gains Tax, PAYE and Trusts.
- Processing & submitting UK personal tax returns and reviewing non-complex tax returns within agreed service and quality standards
- Bringing tax planning opportunities to attention of manager/supervisor and partners.
- Ensuring professional standards are met and supervising and developing more junior staff.
- Developing a good working relationship with clients, and holding information pertaining to the client's business and tax matters.
- Helping to manage a varied portfolio of HNWI's, contractors, self-employed, business owners and non-residents
- Assisting with ongoing basic HMRC tax investigations and dealing with valid tax claims (entrepreneur relief, VCT/EIS relief
- Working with UK families and business owners to help reduce tax liabilities where possible
- Identifying any tax anomalies and bring these to the attention of the tax manager/supervisor.
- Paying attention to self-development and continuing professional education with a view to progressing in practice.
Technical Requirements
- ACA/ACCA or ATT/CTA part-qualified or someone Qualified By Experience from another mid
- to top-tier or Regional Accountancy Firm.
- Competent user of Word, Excel, Outlook
- Good working knowledge of tax software.
- Excellent team working skills and relationship building skills, you should be able to help develop new and existing business, work well under pressure yet still deliver on time and budget.
