**Job Summary**
We are seeking a Transport Driver / Mechanic to join our team. The Transport Driver will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles between locations using a pick up and trailer set up, ensuring timely deliveries and adhering to all road safety regulations. This will be both stock cars and customer vehicles.

**Duties**:

- Drive a pick up and trailer set up to collect and deliver vehicles.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly for transportation.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Carry out basic maintenance checks on our transport vehicle and trailer.

**Skills**:

- Previous experience as a delivery driver.
- Driving license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of mechanical operations for basic vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- Ability to drive different types of vehicles safely and efficiently.

As this is a new arm to our business, we would like to fill the initial time up with basic mechanical jobs on our stock cars. Mechanical knowledge is essential for this role and initially that would involve:

- Remove and replace wheels on stock vehicles.
- Basic servicing on stock vehicles.
- Basic mechanical tasks on stock vehicles.
- Assisting the Head Mechanic with jobs in hand.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
