We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and creative Lead/Principal Technical Consultant for CDPs (Customer Data Platforms) marketing technologies, to integrate into our growing team working across a diverse mix of clients.

The CDP Technical Consultant role is a unique hybrid of business and technical consultancy with the ability to operate as a technical lead focusing on CDPs (currently focus is on Tealium, Bloomreach Engage (former Exponea), Adobe Experience Platform, mParticle). As the lead technical consultant for multiple client projects, this person is responsible for the successful onboarding and overall technological direction for those projects and works as a liaison between the client, project management and operations team to design and deliver high quality, scalable technical solutions.

**Life as a CDP Lead/Principal Technical Consultant at Merkle**

As part of your daily work, you will:

- You will from part of a team of highly skilled consultants - there is not much we don’t know about marketing technology implementation
- Act as a consultant and technical expert on CDPs to serve clients’ needs
- Demonstrate technical expertise while scoping and driving the creation of marketing and data solutions, ETL, platform configuration, APIs and other platform development
- Lead discovery workshops, gather business, marketing, and technical requirements to craft a comprehensive and scalable solution
- Create architecture diagrams and flow charts on both system architecture and detailed solution levels
- Document the technical solution design of the CDP following the requirements gathering
- Own delivery tasks from initial scoping, planning and requirements analysis, through to discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Ensure alignment of business requirements with Merkle standards and policies, and with industry best practices
- Proactively identify and resolve problems including client data feed issues and recommend appropriate courses of action
- Stay abreast of industry technology innovations, new business practices, and third-party technology solutions
- Help us continuously improve by identifying, creating, and enhancing internal systems and processes based on recurring client requests or evolving industry standards
- Stay ahead of the curve with MarTech innovations, educate yourself and enable others on current and emerging technologies
- The team is experienced in multiple software technologies, you will have the option to cross train and enhance your knowledge - you could expand your product portfolio with a range of other tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe Experience Cloud, mParticle, Bloomreach, etc)

**Qualifications**:
**What we are looking for in you**
- Experience implementing large CDP projects, from scoping to implementation (either as an external agent or in-house), ideally for two or more separate organisations
- Experience with advanced industry-specific technology and processes required, including REST/SOAP API integrations, ETL and solid understanding of database concepts
- Certifications on CDP(s)Exposure to other Marketing Technologies, such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze
- Solid understanding of solution design and architecture
- Experience of delivering and understanding of databases, data warehouses, data lakes, data modelling, data integration and ETL concepts would be a bonus.
- Hands on experience in programming languages (SQL, JS, or Python) would be beneficial
- Technical background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or work in a similar field)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team development skills; ability to interact with people of varying backgrounds, technical abilities, languages, and cultures
- Excellent presentation and verbal skills with technical, non-technical, end-user, and executive audiences
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic working environment, learn quickly and solve problems
- Ability to interpret technical and business objectives and needs, with attention to detail
