Pebbles Care has a new opportunity for a Residential Child Care Worker. The role is ideally suited to someone who prefers working day shifts.

**The Role and Responsibilities**

Your role will involve working as a team and building long lasting relationships with our children and young people. Your role is varied and will involve ensuring school or college attendance, facilitating family contact, creating a warm and comforting environment, having fun and going on days out as well as shopping, cooking, cleaning and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.

Previous experience in Residential Child Care is extremely beneficial, however there are many transferable skills for this role. You need to have a dedicated and resilient approach as well as an extremely caring and nurturing nature.

**Desirable Qualities include**:

- One years' experience in child care or youth settings
- An SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma / relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce, or working towards.
- working towards. An interest in pursuing relevant Child Care qualifications
- Familiar with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies, i.e. SSSC
- An existing PVG / DBS certificate

**About Pebbles Care**

We have over 17 years' experience in supporting some of the most vulnerable young people across the UK. We aim to nurture and develop, so that children and young people can flourish in our care. Our teams are spread across 45 registered homes and 2 academies that continue to meet the needs of young people and provide supportive ways developing and learning. We also have excellent learning and development resources to ensure that all our staff have access to high quality, up-to-date training and support.

**Remuneration**

Your salary is £11,856.00 to £12,480.00 per annum, (expected take-home salary), depending on experience.

Your hours of work are on average 24 hours per week, including paid rest breaks.

Shift patterns may vary depending on the requirements of the home and the site you work at. It may be necessary for you to work in multiple sites within your geographical area. A shift pattern will be agreed in advance with your line Manager.

You will receive 12 days holidays per annum (28 days for full time employees), auto-enrolment into the company pension scheme, a cash back health care plan, employee assistance helpline and life assurance.

We offer opportunities to gain relevant and necessary vocational qualifications, i.e. NVQ/SVQ Level 3.

You will also receive a comprehensive induction and support in your role through regular supervision meetings as well as opportunity to progress in your career.

**Additional Information**

All successful applicants will be required to carry out the appropriate level of disclosure check, the cost of which will be covered by Pebbles Care.
