Junior Merchandiser

Quest Search & Selection are currently recruiting for this omni-channel fashion retail business. The business has over 100 stores and a strong presence online and also via their members' club.

The business is looking to add to their omnichannel & trading team to drive forward their stores & online strategy to provide a seamless Customer Experience.

This role is to work with the Buyer to maximise sales and margins within the Womenswear ranges, in line with the Company strategy.

**The roles and responsibilities of this Junior Merchandiser position -**
- To be pivotal in driving department strategy in planning, managing and achieving the targeted measures of sales, stock turn, markdown and profit.
- working closely with the buyer to construct commercial ranges.
- To manage the in-season Open-to-Buy down to category level using the WSSI and Compass.
- By effective range planning and markdown control, manage Terminal Stocks to keep within budgeted levels.
- Consistently manage the supply base, monitor commitment and Intake, and work closely with the supplier to minimise lead times, create flexibility and improve availability.
- To train, motivate and develop the Junior / Assistant Merchandiser and Merchandise Administrator

**Key requirements of this Junior Merchandiser position -**
- You are operating at a Merchandiser or Junior Merchandiser level
- Ideally has come from a fashion background but is open to different other retail sectors
- A proven self-starter
- Excellent knowledge of forecasting principles
- Has worked closely in driving a department or company strategy and leading a team
- Excellent knowledge of forecasting principles
- Strong stakeholder experience
