**Job overview**:
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:
Ensuring quality of loading & unload of palletised freight through the warehouse to its destination, whether that be to place into a bay location or to place on to a waiting vehicle or standing trailer, including multideck vehicles and rigids.
To ensure customer orders are dispatched in a timely and accurate manner.
Carrying out pre-use inspections to ensure equipment is suitable for use and to comply with the company’s compliance policies.
Providing information and to communicate with the operations team and drivers, including customer drivers.
Ensuring the workplace is kept clean and all floor hazards are removed from the workspace immediately and then reported to management, e.g. pallets, loose equipment, discarded items and spills.
Operating equipment to perform work duties and requirements.
Ensuring all freight damages and potential damages are reported to the distribution team in the office.
To be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, for a motivated and ambitious approach to the role.
Responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions including the use of corrective PPE.

**Essential Criteria**:
Previous experience of working in a fast-paced distribution operation
Valid Forklift Truck License (Refreshed within the last 3 years)
Good attention to detail
