We provide all the equipment and styling advice needed to create the perfect event, from tables and chairs to cutlery, glasses and even a dance floor. We have a wide ranging and extensive client base ranging from bride and grooms planning their big day, parents creating a birthday party, to a happy couple celebrating an anniversary. We also work with lots of restaurants, hotels, catering companies & event planners within the hospitality industry. **Job details**: Job type: Full-time & permanent Number of positions for this role: 1 **Salary**: £26K **AB Event Hire is looking for an efficient, hardworking & team player warehouse assistant & delivery driver to join our team.** We’re looking for an enthusiastic warehouse assistant and driver with a “can-do” attitude to join our team. You’ll have a great eye for detail, attention to detail and be proactive in a working environment. This is an incredibly varied role and will suit someone organised and wanting a busy all-round role, given responsibility, and wanting a fast paced, hardworking but fun environment with a good team ethos. - Hold a manual driving licence, ideally be able to have van driving experience - Ideally a Luton van - Be fit and strong, as heavy lifting, moving objects, ladder work etc is a daily task - Problem solve and make decision - A customer facing role, polite and maintain a positive working relationship with customers - Maintaining a clean and organised van & warehouse - Confident and clear communication skills - Ability to work on own and liaise effectively with all people in the company - Ensure the hire equipment is in working order before going out & checking items on return - Be hardworking, dedicated and have a positive "can do" approach to all tasks - Enjoy working in a small/medium sized, tightly knit team - Deliver hire items to various locations - Loading / unloading the vans - Cleaning, and maintaining our stock items - Arranging repairs when needed - Picking and packing orders - Washing up items when returned to warehouse - Keeping the hire products organised and tidy - Help with stock take - Help maintain, paint & fix the stock items - Flexible and willing to take on any task that supports the overall objectives of the company - Occasionally in the busy period you might be asked to work the odd weekend and later into the evening - This can be quite a physical role which involves lifting and shifting items, sometimes ladder work Person Profile - Confident, clear and professional communication style both in person and over the telephone - Ability to work on own and liaise effectively with the team - Hardworking, dedicated and have a positive "can do" approach to all tasks - Flexible and willing to take on any task that supports the overall objectives of the company If this sounds like the role for you then please get in contact with us to discuss the position further.
