As a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant you will be expected to work alongside and support the qualified members of the Speech and Language Therapy team at Bishop Auckland Hospital providing communication rehabilitation treatment packages of care under supervision. You will have excellent peer support and receive supervision from an experienced SLT within the team. Training and CPD opportunities are actively encouraged.
You will require excellent IT skills to help create resources, as well as possess general administration skills to implement and maintain therapy materials and communication aids. Experience of working with stroke patients and/or vulnerable adults is desirable.
You will be mainly based at Bishop Auckland General Hospital and work across a variety of settings.
