**The Hoop & Mallet**

The Hoop & Mallet in Callands, Warrington (WA5 9RJ) is a fantastic sports led community local pub. It prides itself on great cask beer and chilled lagers, along with excellent wines and an extensive range of spirits.

Callands is a suburban estate, just in between junctions 8 & 9 on the M62, close by to Ikea and Gullivers World. There are some late night finishes and bank holidays involved and so having access to your own transport is essential as public transport wont be available.

**The Role**

Regardless of the hours you work, our customers are in your hands. You will be the face of the site, and have knowledge of all of our products. But most of all you love to look after people, understand what makes them happy and get a buzz from making someone’s day. You will also have a passion for hospitality.

We are looking for staff to cover a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and weekends at the site. This is a part time role, typically 12-16 hours per week. The job is flexible and can fit around any college/university timetables.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the happiness of our customers, and responsibilities will include;
- Increasing sales through friendly service and conversation, and upselling any offers that may be on.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of tables and seating areas meet our high standards for every customer you greet.
- Working as part of a team to deliver excellent standards of customer service, ensuring each and every customer receives the best service possible.
- Attention to detail to ensure you serve the customer with the correct order every time.
- Undertaking continual training to develop your skills and knowledge.

**Skills & Experience**
Previous experience is not essential as full training can be given but you will;
- Have the desire to constantly exceed service expectations for each and every customer.
- Seek to improve your site and your own personal development, through a process of continual learning.
- Pay attention to detail with your surroundings, when taking orders and when serving the customer.

**The Person**

We are therefore looking for someone who can demonstrate the following attributes and skills
- Socially confident with excellent interpersonal skills
- Has excellent attention to detail, demonstrating high standards of punctuality, cleanliness and personal presentation
- Indicates a positive ‘can do attitude’
- Enjoys working to high standards and working under pressure
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is able engage with customers appropriately and respond to their needs
- Demonstrates great product knowledge and able to prepare and serve excellent drinks

**Salary**: £7.50-£10.50 per hour
