We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Worker to join our Camden service who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users with complex needs. Our hostel in-reach team in Camden play an integral part in the

As a
**Senior Worker in the hostel in-reach team**, you will work across Camden hostels as part of a multi-agency approach to helping hostel residents get to where they want to be in their lives. In our services no two days are the same. Every person who comes into our service is treated as an individual so understanding the importance of a whole person approach along with being curious, a good listener, a skilled practitioner and having a flexible approach are essential skills.

You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Salary**: £30,316.74 - £32,412.09

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Develop and deliver interventions including harm reduction, motivational
interviewing and use person-centred, trauma informed approaches to
engagement / re-engagement with treatment and other services
- Deliver bespoke training for hostel staff, and provide support for staff managing
high levels of substance misuse among residents
- Record all activity on CGL Camden and hostel systems, documenting service user journeys in a way that negates the need for reassessment
- Support co-production initiatives, and facilitate access to a range of activities and events designed with service user input, to improve the wellbeing of the individuals
we work with, including creative activities and outdoor events
- Work closely with SUI and Peer Involvement Leads from across the partnership to develop activities and co-production opportunities and a clear role for SU Reps
- Attend case conferences or multi-agency meetings for hostel residents

**About you**:

- Demonstrable experience working in substance misuse services, and a clear
understanding of psychosocial and clinical guidelines
- Demonstrable experience of supporting people who are experiencing multiple
disadvantage, including drug and alcohol use, homelessness, offending and mental ill health, to build more positive futures
- Experience of leading service user involvement initiatives and collecting service
user stories and feedback
- Ability to communicate confidently with service users about their treatment options,demonstrating a clear understanding of the range of available options, and taking into account diversity and individual choice
- Ability to work flexibly across hostels, responding to the demands of the post
