Senior Stylist

Elegance Hair Brighton is situated in Brighton City centre a few minutes walk from Brighton Train station. We are currently seeking a self motivated, enthusiastic Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic and friendly team.

You will provide client consultations about styles and colouring and ensure you meet the clients expectations you will also offer hair care products like shampoos conditioners, hair treatments, oils and masks specific to their hair type.

If you have experience using basic and advanced cutting and colouring techniques, cutting short and long hair and are up-to-date with styling trends, we expect you to create flawless haircuts and hairstyling for all of our clients. You must also have experience on colour correction and Baylage etc, and ultimately ensure all clients leave our salon completely satisfied with all aspects of their service.

**Responsibilities**
- Welcome clients & identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
- Recommend hairstyles & haircuts according to clients’face shapes & tastes
- Wash, rinse & dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos & conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
- Cut, trim & shave hair using professional equipment
- Create hairstyles for formal events & everyday looks, including, buns, hair up and wedding hair
- **SKILLS**:

- Form bonds with loyal clients & remember & note their hairstyle preferences
- Manage bookings on sytem & serve walk-ins
- Ensure tidiness of all stations and sterilize tools, as needed
- Cross-sell hair care products or services
- Experience in colour corection & olaplex
- Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
- Hands-on experience with all coloring techniques & services
- Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths short & long
- Familiarity with hair treatment products and services, like keratin smoothing & olaplex
- Up-to-date with industry trends
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina to work 8 hour shifts
- Flexibility to work in shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Temp to perm

**Salary**: Up to £28,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- salon: 2 years (preferred)
