**About your role**

You’ll join our multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers who deliver testing on a wide range of products. We run mechanical, electrical, chemical and flammability facilities, producing the robust scientific outputs that keep the UK safe.

As Senior Engineer, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of our laboratories. Specialising in at least one of our facilities, you’ll test products to make sure they conform to bespoke safety standards and regulations, using specific equipment and collaboratingwith technology, science and engineering teams in the process.

You’ll also manage the health and safety systems of our laboratories, and assess our technical documentation to make sure it meets our standards and requirements. Aside from laboratory activities, you’ll have opportunities to develop your area of expertiseby contributing to external networks, meetings and training events.

**About your experience**

We’re looking for experience in running laboratory activities, testing products, quality assurance and creating test plans. You’ll also need experience in fire and flammability testing.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, and you’ll be able to deliver your findings to a wide range of audiences. You’ll also need good analytical skills and a relevant degree in a science or engineering.
